Install Pieowl
Add Pieowl to your website in about two minutes with one script tag, or use an SDK for your framework.
The fastest way to start is the script tag. It works on any website.
Quick start
Add this tag to the <head> of your site. Replace YOUR_CLIENT_ID with the client ID from your site settings.
<script src="https://pieowl.com/pieowl.js" data-client-id="YOUR_CLIENT_ID" defer></script>That's it. Pieowl now tracks:
- Page views
- Visit duration
- Referrers
- Device and browser
- Location (country and city)
What gets collected
You choose what the script collects by itself in Settings → Site → What Pieowl counts:
- Page views: every page someone opens. On by default.
- Clicks on links to other sites: which outside links people click. On by default.
- Clicks you marked in your code: elements with
data-track="…". On by default. - Address changes after #: for one-page sites that change only the part after
#. Off by default.
The script loads these settings on every page. A change reaches your site within about a minute, with no code to edit.
To send your own events, see Track events.
